Michael Georgiopoulos Honored at Founder's Day

Michael Georgiopoulos, the Director of the ML^2, was honored at the 2010 UCF Founder’s Day, with the Pegasus Professorship award for his contributions in teaching, research and service.

ML^2 members present papers at the upcoming WCCI 2010 Conference

Members of the ML^2 have had two conference papers accepted at the upcoming WCCI 2010 conference, in Barcelona, Spain. The papers are titled: “Multi-Objective Memetic Evolution of ART-based Classifiers” (to appear in CEC-2010), and Metric Representations of Data via the Kernel-based Sammon Mapping (to appear in IJCNN 2010).

Jimmy Secretan has published a paper at the Future Generation Computer Systems journal

Jimmy Secretan, an ML^2 alumni has had one of his papers accepted (2010) at the Future Generation Computer Systems journal. The paper is titled “APHID : an Architecture for Private, High-performance Integrated Data mining”.

Assem Kaylani has published a paper at the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks journal

Assem Kaylani, an ML^2 lab alumni has published (2010) a paper, titled "An Adaptive Multi-Objective Approach to Evolving ART Architectures” at the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, Vol. 21, Issue 4, pp. 529-550.

Anna Koufakou has published a paper at the Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery journal
